Gordon County Schools is committed to creating and maintaining a rich learning environment with technology enhancements for all students. With effective technology integration in classrooms, we believe that not only is student learning and achievement significantly increased, but that doors are opened to discovery and innovation through collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
A 1:1 iPad program has been in place for six years where each student is provided with an iPad as an instructional tool. All elementary classrooms have charging solutions, and elementary student iPads remain at school. Beginning in middle school, students have the opportunity to take their iPad home each night. All teachers use the same type iPad as their students to lead instruction and learning activities.
Student iPads allow for differentiation and imagination in every classroom where students are provided with endless opportunities that extend learning beyond classroom walls.
