On-Line Learning
After logging in, locate the black folder labeled "Online Learning Plans" for each course.
Have your child complete the assignments for each of their courses.
If you need to reach out to your child's teacher, send them a message or email and they should be able to get back to you during their office hours.
Office hours for your child’s teacher are as follows:
Elementary: 9:00-10:00 a.m. and 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Middle and High: 10:00-11:00 a.m. and 2:00-3:00 p.m.
You may contact your child’s teacher by using the Schoology message feature as shown below.
We understand that some students may not have access to internet. Many local institutions provide internet access that can be connected to from your car outside of the establishment (i.e. restaraunts, coffee shops, school parking lots). If you need your parent access code to create a parent Schoology account, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Online Learning
Gordon County Schools has launched an online learning platform that will allow students and teachers to work safely from home when weather conditions prevent safe travel to our schools.
New for 2019-2020
Not all days missed due to inclement weather will be designated as online learning days. The superintendent will determine when online learning will be utilized. We realize that during a weather emergency that there could be sporadic power outages and internet unavailability. Upon return to school, students will be given five school days to complete any work assigned that may have not been completed. Under extenuating circumstances, such as consecutive absences due to weather-related issues, students may be given additional days to complete assignments. The superintendent will communicate expectations and plans in case of multiple inclement weather days.
